What to Write on a Trophy: Wording Ideas for Every Occasion
Trophy and memento wording you can copy for employee awards, school prize days, sports, chief guests and retirements, with a simple layout that always works.

The engraving is the part people read again years later, so it deserves two minutes of thought. Most of the wording we engrave follows one simple pattern, and once you have it, every trophy on your list gets easier.
The four-line layout
- Award title: Best Performer of the Year
- Recipient: Priya Sharma
- One line of thanks (optional): For outstanding dedication to our customers
- Organisation, event and date: ABC Pvt Ltd, Annual Awards 2026

Before you send your wording
- Check the spelling of every name twice. It is the most common mistake on trophies, and it can't be fixed after engraving.
- Decide on capitals once: all caps for titles, normal case for the thank-you line.
- Send your logo as a PNG, PDF or high-resolution JPG, not a photo of a printout.
- For school and sports events, send the final names only after results are declared.
