Prize distribution is usually planned in a rush, and trophies are often the last thing ordered. Schools that follow a simple timeline get better prices, fewer spelling mistakes and no last-minute panic. Here is the one we suggest.

WhenWhat to do
5 to 6 weeks beforeList every award: academic, co-curricular, house, sports and special awards. Count positions per event and add 5 to 10 percent spare medals.
4 weeks beforeFix a budget per level. Send us the list, quantities, event date and school crest.
3 weeks beforeChoose designs from the options we share. Confirm ribbon colours, often house colours.
2 weeks beforeSend final wording. Engrave event and position now; add names later if results are pending.
Event weekCollect or receive the order, count every piece against your list, sort in presentation order.

Gold cups in stepped heights make first, second and third place easy to tell apart on stage. Gold Clock Trophy on Black Column (ME-001)

A typical school order

  • Medals for every participant in each race or event
  • Trophies in two or three heights for first, second and third place
  • One large rolling cup for the best house
  • Wooden plaques or mementoes for the chief guest, principal and retiring staff

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Engraving names before results are final. Engrave the event and position; add a name plate later.
  • Forgetting the chief guest memento. It is always needed and almost always ordered last.
  • A different design for every event. Two or three designs look far more coordinated on stage.
  • No spares. Keep two or three blank trophies for ties and surprise awards.
